In this Journal, I will attempt to strip away my protective veneer to view and communicate honestly what the truth is as I perceive it. My intent is to grow, for without an honest evaluation of the truth, how else can one fully absorb life's more difficult lessons and benefit by them. If I do this in secret, then I am still hiding behind a protective veneer, so it is being published online. If you find this Journal, you are welcome to read it and hopefully grow from it as well.

On The Razor's Edge Of Disaster

As Kyle heals from his neck injury, that injury was an excellent reminder every person is on the razor's edge of disaster. One can be on top of the world, yet all it takes is a sudden car accident, a fall, a fire or some other injury and death or a lifetime of limitation can result. But I am a positive person.

As a man of faith and gratitude, I thank God throughout each day for the day's blessings, from the love of my wife and children and their wives and children to the magnificent pink and white roses blooming outside my window. More than ever before, I've learned to appreciate the many blessings and to be thankful for all the support and protection in my life, Kyle's well-being and safety being but the latest example.

Just when you thought it was safe to sit peacefully in a jacuzzi a guy can fall on your head...

It's funny you should say that Kyle. Perhaps you recall this 1984 hit record http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bBlbPw7WAqM by the Weather Girls.
