In this Journal, I will attempt to strip away my protective veneer to view and communicate honestly what the truth is as I perceive it. My intent is to grow, for without an honest evaluation of the truth, how else can one fully absorb life's more difficult lessons and benefit by them. If I do this in secret, then I am still hiding behind a protective veneer, so it is being published online. If you find this Journal, you are welcome to read it and hopefully grow from it as well.

A Desire To Help

My wife Anne and I at our home receive many telemarketing calls, including recently, from three organizations collecting political data for the upcoming June elections.

In each case, the callers for the political organizations were deceitful in order to receive my responses and it didn't take me long to figure that out.

But I cooperated anyway because I always have a desire to be helpful, but also because in my many years of telemarketing in business, while cold calling I was often deceitful in accessing corporate decision makers.

We built many a successful business relationship that began with my cold calls, but I'm not proud of how they began and would conduct myself differently today.
