In this Journal, I will attempt to strip away my protective veneer to view and communicate honestly what the truth is as I perceive it. My intent is to grow, for without an honest evaluation of the truth, how else can one fully absorb life's more difficult lessons and benefit by them. If I do this in secret, then I am still hiding behind a protective veneer, so it is being published online. If you find this Journal, you are welcome to read it and hopefully grow from it as well.

Where's Bro Bro?

Anne's and my grandson Keoni graduated from Miraleste Intermediate School on June 4th and two days later, on his 14th birthday after a birthday celebration at Lawry's The Prime Rib he left with a group of his fellow graduates and teachers and staff to Washington, DC and Philadelphia.

Keoni was gone until the night of June 14th. Meanwhile his baby brother Ikaika, 17 months old, each day would run to Keoni's room looking for his "Bro Bro" (his brother), not understanding why Keoni was not there.

Ikaika missed his big brother and was surely thrilled when Keoni came home.
