In this Journal, I will attempt to strip away my protective veneer to view and communicate honestly what the truth is as I perceive it. My intent is to grow, for without an honest evaluation of the truth, how else can one fully absorb life's more difficult lessons and benefit by them. If I do this in secret, then I am still hiding behind a protective veneer, so it is being published online. If you find this Journal, you are welcome to read it and hopefully grow from it as well.

An Additional Sight To Behold

This sight may surprise you.

It is the sight of little brown almonds. This morning, as on many mornings, I ate some little brown almonds and not only did they appear attractive, here is the key:

I chewed each one slowly, as I savored its flavor.

Food is a great pleasure, truly something to behold, not when it is gobbled down but when its flavor, its feel to the tongue and to the teeth, its texture and its scent are fully appreciated.

With this appreciation, food can become a tiny piece of heaven, each morsel to be thoroughly enjoyed, in moments of peace and tranquility.
