In this Journal, I will attempt to strip away my protective veneer to view and communicate honestly what the truth is as I perceive it. My intent is to grow, for without an honest evaluation of the truth, how else can one fully absorb life's more difficult lessons and benefit by them. If I do this in secret, then I am still hiding behind a protective veneer, so it is being published online. If you find this Journal, you are welcome to read it and hopefully grow from it as well.

Cameron's Piano Recital

Anne's and my 9 year old grandson Cameron played two songs in the Hills Academy Winter Recital, 2014 on Saturday, 12/13/14, "March of the Goblins" and "Crazy Comics."

He played in the Hills Academy Performance Hall before 80 - 100 people, and played well, receiving a nice round of applause. Cameron was one of 26 children performing in the 11 am show, and three more shows followed their performance.

As soon as he finished playing, his dad, our son Clayton, whisked him into the Men's Room so he could quickly change his clothes into a gray basketball tank top and gray sweat pants and gym shoes and he was off to his basketball game.

He is a busy boy.

Aside from watching Cameron play the piano, my joy is in seeing all the happy faces of the children as they perform for their proud families and friends. These are magical moments, a culmination of all the lessons and practices, a reward that will live in people's memories.

It is also a reward for the teachers, who in some cases beamed brighter than almost anyone else, proud of their students.
