My left heal Plantar Fascia issue reoccurred and I saw Dr. Ken Park, who after x-raying and examining my heal provided me with the latest advance, a new heal brace.
He also advised:
1) Stretching, use pain as your guide.
2) Take an anti-inflammatory as I need to. They don't solve the problem but reduce the pain.
3) Plantar Fascia stretch from the front of the foot in addition to the calf stretch I already do.
4) Merrill makes a good cushioned bedroom slipper and they are carried by The Walking Store.
5) In taking walks "let the pain guide you."
6) "Try it on your own for awhile. But if you want physical therapy, just call me."
7) He asked me to visit him again in six weeks. I am scheduled for 8/29/12.
In summary, while this occasional recurring injury is a bit painful, if this is my biggest health issue, I am an extremely fortunate person.

In this Journal, I will attempt to strip away my protective veneer to view and communicate honestly what the truth is as I perceive it. My intent is to grow, for without an honest evaluation of the truth, how else can one fully absorb life's more difficult lessons and benefit by them. If I do this in secret, then I am still hiding behind a protective veneer, so it is being published online. If you find this Journal, you are welcome to read it and hopefully grow from it as well.
