In this Journal, I will attempt to strip away my protective veneer to view and communicate honestly what the truth is as I perceive it. My intent is to grow, for without an honest evaluation of the truth, how else can one fully absorb life's more difficult lessons and benefit by them. If I do this in secret, then I am still hiding behind a protective veneer, so it is being published online. If you find this Journal, you are welcome to read it and hopefully grow from it as well.

Rock 'n' Roll And The Energy of Youth

Yesterday afternoon on HBO, over lunch I flipped on "Glee the 3D Concert Movie," and found it a real joy.

The young performers put so much enthusiasm and energy into a wide variety of Rock hits from music originally performed by Michael Jackson, Paul McCartney, Tina Turner, Katy Perry, Lady Gaga and so many others.

The sound system and special effects were superb and the dancing was top notch, as I found my feet moving to the beat and I mentally sang the songs with them. Granted the show was extensively edited but it seemed to strongly touch the audience, which was largely teenage and pre-teen girls. A high energy, well-produced rock concert can uplift practically anyone, whether that person is a 15-year-old girl or me at 67 for it is a celebration of life.
