In this Journal, I will attempt to strip away my protective veneer to view and communicate honestly what the truth is as I perceive it. My intent is to grow, for without an honest evaluation of the truth, how else can one fully absorb life's more difficult lessons and benefit by them. If I do this in secret, then I am still hiding behind a protective veneer, so it is being published online. If you find this Journal, you are welcome to read it and hopefully grow from it as well.

But It's Raining!

As Anne and I boarded our flight from Vancouver to return home to Los Angeles, we heard people yet again complain that today, June 30th is a rainy day, rather than a day bathed in sunshine as they would have wished.

Once on board, someone complained the plane was too small ( a jet that seats 66 passengers).

In response to those who were bothered by the rain, I smiled and discussed how beautiful a city Vancouver is and the many interesting people there are to meet there.

f I had been more direct, I could have referenced the many people who from illness or physical incapacitation cannot go outdoors most days, rain or shine and would give almost anything for a pain free day. Rain would not be among their problems.

As for the person who complained about the plane being too small, my guess is she would gladly fly on a luxurious private corporate jet, a jet smaller than this one.

Life will always have problems for that is its nature. But life can also be a beautiful experience if we seek happiness and adventure and allow ourselves to enjoy it, even if it is just one joyful moment at a time.
