In this Journal, I will attempt to strip away my protective veneer to view and communicate honestly what the truth is as I perceive it. My intent is to grow, for without an honest evaluation of the truth, how else can one fully absorb life's more difficult lessons and benefit by them. If I do this in secret, then I am still hiding behind a protective veneer, so it is being published online. If you find this Journal, you are welcome to read it and hopefully grow from it as well.

Walking With 6 Year Old Gannon, 3/27/14

Walking with my 6 year old grandson Gannon last night was quiet an experience. It was during his 8 year old brother Brody's baseball game, which meant we made two visits to the snack shack so Gannon could have a Hershey Bar and two bags of Skittles.

But that's not the most interesting part.

As we walked, as I recall Gannon didn't miss any puddled water to jump in, soft hilly dirt to slide down or pebbles to kick or jump on as we went here, there and everywhere together. All the while Gannon had plenty to say, as our conversation never ended.

We also talked to and Gannon played with his little friends and acquaintances and he shared his Skittles with them.

For me, it was a wonderful evening spent with a captivating little guy, one who enjoys life at every step, and brings happiness to those of us who have the pleasure of his company.

I certainly enjoy your stories about the "Gannster", Dick. He loves to talk and share his thoughts about everything. He has no inhibitions, and he definitely is a pill!

Thank You Ben, Gannon is so much fun, in part because that is how he sees the world,
