In this Journal, I will attempt to strip away my protective veneer to view and communicate honestly what the truth is as I perceive it. My intent is to grow, for without an honest evaluation of the truth, how else can one fully absorb life's more difficult lessons and benefit by them. If I do this in secret, then I am still hiding behind a protective veneer, so it is being published online. If you find this Journal, you are welcome to read it and hopefully grow from it as well.

A Memorable Meditation

This morning's meditation was very powerful. It took about 10 minutes (a guess in time) to move fully into it and then for about 10 minutes - I was in a place - somewhere between my awareness of life on this plane and a sense of peacefulness beyond it.

In that beyond state it was a sense of joy, of love, of no cares and no pain.

I began to transition out of that state as I heard my wife Anne heading into the room but even in her presence, my peaceful relaxed state continued and I greeted her from my heart, as I laid on the family room couch.

The key to reaching this higher state of meditation is in advice I read in Jim MacKimmie's book, "Presence of Angels" on page 187 from "the Old Man," a real life extraordinary individual who lived in Long Beach, California in the 1950's.

You relax the body, then relax and quiet the mind and then the third element, your higher being takes over. In today's meditation, I did nothing else but let it take over after I concentrated on my breathing and primarily in the word - love.

This is a profound state, a spiritual state, one lived while still in body. It is one dear reader I hope you too will experience, for I believe it is available to you as it is to me.
