In this Journal, I will attempt to strip away my protective veneer to view and communicate honestly what the truth is as I perceive it. My intent is to grow, for without an honest evaluation of the truth, how else can one fully absorb life's more difficult lessons and benefit by them. If I do this in secret, then I am still hiding behind a protective veneer, so it is being published online. If you find this Journal, you are welcome to read it and hopefully grow from it as well.

Cancer Support Group Annual Fund Raiser, 6/23/14

At the South Coast Botanic Garden in Palos Verdes on a sunny Sunday, from 3 pm to 7 pm, the annual fund raiser was held for the Cancer Support Group.

They do marvelous work on behalf of those with cancer and their families and never is a bill presented because fund raisers such as these are what pay the bills.

Anne's and my eldest son Kyle and his business partner and friend Jamie Rosenwald are major contributors and next year Kyle will be Board President. Our youngest son Clayton attended the fund raiser along with his wife Maria as they usually do.

Kyle's wife Diane was also there, and it was from her 2002 bout with cancer that they became involved and have been so ever since. Thank God her cancer has not reappeared.

Anne and are honored to contribute.

Dick
