This afternoon while I was on a walk, a woman stopped her car on a busy street to speak with me.
She said I'm "The happiest man in the neighborhood" because I'm always smiling and that causes her to smile every time she sees me. She was smiling brightly as she spoke.
After we cordially parted company, I thought how simple it is to uplift people. Smile warmly and wave a friendly greeting to passing cars which is what I do on my walks.
It begins a chain of happiness, and through one person after the next that happiness has the power to uplift the world.

In this Journal, I will attempt to strip away my protective veneer to view and communicate honestly what the truth is as I perceive it. My intent is to grow, for without an honest evaluation of the truth, how else can one fully absorb life's more difficult lessons and benefit by them. If I do this in secret, then I am still hiding behind a protective veneer, so it is being published online. If you find this Journal, you are welcome to read it and hopefully grow from it as well.
