These words came to me in a dream at about 11:50 pm last night and I've been pondering their meaning. "The Same Source," in the context of the dream refers to God.
Having now meditated over it today I believe it means:
"The Same Source" created each of us and is the love and the light within each of us. It is to "The Same Source" we return as we leave this life in this body, although ironically we never left "The Same Source" at all.
Therefore we are all fundamentally one with each other, which makes wars absurd, hunger and poverty an abomination, bigotry asinine and even sports competitions meaningless other than for mutual enjoyment and conducted with good sportsmanship.
It makes our unwillingness to share our resources with each other and our mistreatment of the poor and mistreatment of immigrants to be a blotch upon our souls. It makes the denial of medical care or education a selfish greedy act.
The challenge is for us to awaken, if not collectively, individually and to recognize our oneness with all. We must learn to act with love, compassion and forgiveness to rectify our callousness and terrible deeds and to bring joy into the lives of our brethren.
This is something each of us is capable of doing, however many lifetimes it may take for "We All Go To The Same Source."
