"Don't eat that one, I love orange," Anne's and my grandson Cameron, age 10 said to his sister Carina, age 7, as she held an orange gum ball in her hand.
Thursday night (1/14/16) Anne and I took the kids to Ruby's Diner, and at the end of the meal, Anne bought them the gum balls they wanted.
Carina gave Cameron the orange one and she got another.
It was such fun playing with the kids, and I learned that like many other little girls, at home Carina and one of her dolls talk to each other, and even have a dance they do.
These times when the kids are still so young are passing quickly, and we often spend time with them while they're still at an age when they want to spend time with us.

In this Journal, I will attempt to strip away my protective veneer to view and communicate honestly what the truth is as I perceive it. My intent is to grow, for without an honest evaluation of the truth, how else can one fully absorb life's more difficult lessons and benefit by them. If I do this in secret, then I am still hiding behind a protective veneer, so it is being published online. If you find this Journal, you are welcome to read it and hopefully grow from it as well.
