I don't have many friends.
But I receive a warm greeting everywhere I go, because I give a warm greeting everywhere I go, and soon learn people's names, making them feel what they truely are, important.
Virtually all of Anne's and my charitable donations are made anonymously, so the recipients don't know we helped them, but for us, the reward is in the helping, not in receiving the credit.
So if the quality of one's life is measured in friendships, then I'm a failure.
But if it is measured in goodwill and sincere caring by others, I fare a bit better. And with a happy heart, I'll continue to greet the world with good cheer and a helping hand.

In this Journal, I will attempt to strip away my protective veneer to view and communicate honestly what the truth is as I perceive it. My intent is to grow, for without an honest evaluation of the truth, how else can one fully absorb life's more difficult lessons and benefit by them. If I do this in secret, then I am still hiding behind a protective veneer, so it is being published online. If you find this Journal, you are welcome to read it and hopefully grow from it as well.
