Despite my foolishly having initially emasculated her with the health club by refusing the deal she had done, it was she who concluded the deal, not me.
After I spoke with the general manager as had been agreed to by Anne, I directed him back to her and stepped back. It was she who then completed the negotiation for her membership. I learned a valuable lesson from my mistakes in this deal, about letting her handle transactions of her own and to respect her the deals she concludes.
