In this Journal, I will attempt to strip away my protective veneer to view and communicate honestly what the truth is as I perceive it. My intent is to grow, for without an honest evaluation of the truth, how else can one fully absorb life's more difficult lessons and benefit by them. If I do this in secret, then I am still hiding behind a protective veneer, so it is being published online. If you find this Journal, you are welcome to read it and hopefully grow from it as well.

A Moment Of Gratitude For Our Stay At The Inn At Spanish Bay

This beautiful hotel, The Inn at Spanish Bay is on the magnificent Pebble Beach, CA oceanfront. Although we have been there many times since 1991, this was our first visit in four years and I can still hardly believe Anne and I have the financial resources to stay there, as we just did from March 1st to March 5th, of 2012..

While we were there we got to know many staff members by name (this time 12 to 14 people) and they got to know us by name as well, although for them it is strongly encouraged if not mandatory, with references to us as Mr. or Mrs. But they are often pleasantly surprised we remember their names and treat them with respect and courtesy, sometimes even asking them about themselves and their families, which are stories people enjoy telling. As sharing their stories brings them joy, it brings us joy as well to listen to them and feel their enthusiasm.

We know time passes quickly and at this point in our lives, I thank God we have each other, we have our health and we can have so much fun together. It is a wonderful time in our lives..
