Yesterday (11/13/12), Anne's and my son Clayton came to our home and he brought his and Maria's 7 year old son Cameron. Cameron enjoys playing soccer and so in our backyard, I took the field to play him.
During the game, Clayton joined us as linesman, which is a referee. I tower over Cameron but he is quick and would often get around me to kick a goal. In turn, I would take advantage of my size and kick the ball over his head into the goal. The final score was Cameron 10 and me 8, and Cameron danced off the field happy as can be.
Before he and Clayton left, Cameron had a chocolate milk and he and Clayton shared some Dibs, small droplets of frozen vanilla ice cream covered in chocolate. What a joy it is for Anne and me when one of our sons, his wife and their children come to visit us.

In this Journal, I will attempt to strip away my protective veneer to view and communicate honestly what the truth is as I perceive it. My intent is to grow, for without an honest evaluation of the truth, how else can one fully absorb life's more difficult lessons and benefit by them. If I do this in secret, then I am still hiding behind a protective veneer, so it is being published online. If you find this Journal, you are welcome to read it and hopefully grow from it as well.
