Last night I had a wonderful time at my son Kyle's invitation joining him, along with my son Clayton and our dear friends Jamie and Laura Rosenwald in a luxury box high above the playing field.
In his charming and humorous manner, Jamie persuaded me to eat the ballpark peanuts, which I would not have done because of the salt and high calories. And Kyle arranged for the Dodgers to provide vegetarian hamburgers, a real pleasure for me.
Kyle also drove our party both ways which meant the rest of us did not have to contend with traffic both ways nor find parking in a sold out ball game.
For the record, the Dodgers beat the Cincinnati Reds, 4 to 1. But this never matters to me as I cheer for both teams.
What mattered was the wonderful company, which included not only our 5 person group but the other lovely people that occupied that luxury box, and the Dodger personnel, most of whom were very personable.
How fortunate I am to meet and enjoy so many nice people and to experience such interesting aspects of life.

In this Journal, I will attempt to strip away my protective veneer to view and communicate honestly what the truth is as I perceive it. My intent is to grow, for without an honest evaluation of the truth, how else can one fully absorb life's more difficult lessons and benefit by them. If I do this in secret, then I am still hiding behind a protective veneer, so it is being published online. If you find this Journal, you are welcome to read it and hopefully grow from it as well.
