In this Journal, I will attempt to strip away my protective veneer to view and communicate honestly what the truth is as I perceive it. My intent is to grow, for without an honest evaluation of the truth, how else can one fully absorb life's more difficult lessons and benefit by them. If I do this in secret, then I am still hiding behind a protective veneer, so it is being published online. If you find this Journal, you are welcome to read it and hopefully grow from it as well.

"Hi Ladies!"" (An Ikaika Story)

Yesterday, Leonor, who cleans our home among others, shared this story with me and we both had a good laugh:

When she and her sister Amparo arrive at Anne's and my 3-year-old grandson Ikaika's house to clean, he greets them.

"Hi Ladies!" His voice booms out. And then he adds: "Come with me," or "Look what I have," or "Where are my clothes?"

Leonor said, "He thinks he's a man." She and Amparo both laugh from Ikaika's greeting and they enjoy him very much.
