"I live to have it," said our 7 year old Cameron last night over dinner at Ruby's Diner in a burst of happiness after Anne gave him a See's chocolate pumpkin for Halloween.
It was a wonderful dinner, which included Anne and me, our son Clayton and Clayton and Maria's children, Cameron, and 4 year old Carina.
Cameron told us that on Halloween tomorrow, he was going to be a wrestler (whose name I don't recall) and Carina said she would be Snow White.
This morning, Anne and I attended the Halloween celebration at Carina's school, New Horizons, and we watched the annual parade of all the adorable little children and their teachers in their costumes as perhaps 150 parents and other family oohed and ahhed and many took pictures..
Carina was proudly Snow White and Anne and Maria photographed her. As usual, this little 4 year old melted our hearts.

In this Journal, I will attempt to strip away my protective veneer to view and communicate honestly what the truth is as I perceive it. My intent is to grow, for without an honest evaluation of the truth, how else can one fully absorb life's more difficult lessons and benefit by them. If I do this in secret, then I am still hiding behind a protective veneer, so it is being published online. If you find this Journal, you are welcome to read it and hopefully grow from it as well.
