Brody, age 7 and Gannon, age 4 will finish their baseball season this weekend. And what a great season it has been. With their mother Melody as team mother and Kevin as one of the coaches, it has been a lot of fun for everyone.
Brody is developing into a fine baseball player, consistently hitting the ball hard as it is pitched to him by his head coach Ron, and in the field, often catching or nearly catching the ball when it is thrown to him. For Gannon, this is his first experience in organized baseball and by all appearances, he is having a wonderful time, and even hams it up in front of the crowd, the bundle of charm he is.
I don't know if either of the two little guys will ever choose to play baseball again but what a memorable season this was, one that will continue to live in my heart as I see in my mind's eye, them and their small teammates having such a good time together.

In this Journal, I will attempt to strip away my protective veneer to view and communicate honestly what the truth is as I perceive it. My intent is to grow, for without an honest evaluation of the truth, how else can one fully absorb life's more difficult lessons and benefit by them. If I do this in secret, then I am still hiding behind a protective veneer, so it is being published online. If you find this Journal, you are welcome to read it and hopefully grow from it as well.
