In this Journal, I will attempt to strip away my protective veneer to view and communicate honestly what the truth is as I perceive it. My intent is to grow, for without an honest evaluation of the truth, how else can one fully absorb life's more difficult lessons and benefit by them. If I do this in secret, then I am still hiding behind a protective veneer, so it is being published online. If you find this Journal, you are welcome to read it and hopefully grow from it as well.

My 68th Birthday, 2/10/13

Clayton and Maria hosted a lovely birthday party for me, in which they served only vegetarian food. Although I've been a vegetarian for 12 years and would never impose my food selection on others, their creativity in cooking offered everyone a tasty and healthy variety of delicious food.

It was such a joy to be with everyone, but my favorite moments were with my sons and their families and I'm very pleased that they are all doing so well. Had I had a personal wish for each of them, it would be for everything to go as well for them as it is.
