In this Journal, I will attempt to strip away my protective veneer to view and communicate honestly what the truth is as I perceive it. My intent is to grow, for without an honest evaluation of the truth, how else can one fully absorb life's more difficult lessons and benefit by them. If I do this in secret, then I am still hiding behind a protective veneer, so it is being published online. If you find this Journal, you are welcome to read it and hopefully grow from it as well.

An Easter/Passover Celebration, 3/31/13

At our home on Sunday night, Anne and I hosted a warm and joyous dinner party that actually had no connection to any religious holiday.

Instead, it was a wonderful opportunity over a wide variety of tasty food to enjoy our sons Kyle and Clayton, and their beautiful families, Anne's brother Ed and sister in law Gwen and Anne's lovely mother Mary. Kevin and his family were unable to join us because as a police officer, Kevin had to report for duty at 3 am the next morning.

But it was fun to see everyone and listen to their stories, share some laughs and to absorb in the joyous energy of the children, Keoni, 12 along with Cameron, 7 and Carina, 5. Ikaika is just 3 months old, but as a baby, he charmed us all.

It is as simple as this: Time passes ever so quickly and I find each chance to have a party is not to be missed as they lift my spirits, especially seeing others have a good time, which in itself touches my heart.
