On Sunday afternoon (4/7/13), my beautiful wife Anne hosted a baby shower in our home for our daughter in law Diane and her baby, 3 1/2 month old Ikaika.
While I was not present except at the end of the shower, there were 11 women and 12 year old Keoni, Ikaika's big brother there and everyone seemed to have had a very good time. Most notable to us was the wonderful way Keoni has with Ikaika.
Keoni tickles his cheeks and plays with him, as he also feeds and changes him. And Ikaika lights up when he sees Keoni, just as he also lights up when he sees his mom.
Aside from that, what I will most remember about this shower was all the happiness and good cheer that seemed to permeate our home.

In this Journal, I will attempt to strip away my protective veneer to view and communicate honestly what the truth is as I perceive it. My intent is to grow, for without an honest evaluation of the truth, how else can one fully absorb life's more difficult lessons and benefit by them. If I do this in secret, then I am still hiding behind a protective veneer, so it is being published online. If you find this Journal, you are welcome to read it and hopefully grow from it as well.
