In this Journal, I will attempt to strip away my protective veneer to view and communicate honestly what the truth is as I perceive it. My intent is to grow, for without an honest evaluation of the truth, how else can one fully absorb life's more difficult lessons and benefit by them. If I do this in secret, then I am still hiding behind a protective veneer, so it is being published online. If you find this Journal, you are welcome to read it and hopefully grow from it as well.

Visiting Ikaika, 7/16/13

Our grandson Ikaika is nearly 7 months old and yesterday at the invitation of our son Kyle and daughter in law Diane, Anne and I went to their home to visit him.

Kyle and Diane are at the Mayo Clinic for their annual physicals, but Ikaika's nanny Julia welcomed us and we played with the tiny guy as he smiled and cooed. Julia said he now sits up on his own but with us there he never got the chance as Anne sat back in a comfortable chair holding him.
