In this Journal, I will attempt to strip away my protective veneer to view and communicate honestly what the truth is as I perceive it. My intent is to grow, for without an honest evaluation of the truth, how else can one fully absorb life's more difficult lessons and benefit by them. If I do this in secret, then I am still hiding behind a protective veneer, so it is being published online. If you find this Journal, you are welcome to read it and hopefully grow from it as well.

Taking Cameron And Carina To The Movies, 9/1/13

For much of the day, Anne and I had the pleasure of babysitting two of our grandchildren, Cameron 8 and Carina 5.

We fed them freshly baked donuts as Carina went with me to Mayer's bakery to select them. She and I also visited Anne's and my 99 year old friend Fay Ward and shared some of those donuts with her.

Later we fed the kids Hershey Bars and took them to the movies to see the film they selected, "Percy Jackson's Sea Monsters," while also letting them have all the goodies they could eat.

They had a great time and so did we.
