In this Journal, I will attempt to strip away my protective veneer to view and communicate honestly what the truth is as I perceive it. My intent is to grow, for without an honest evaluation of the truth, how else can one fully absorb life's more difficult lessons and benefit by them. If I do this in secret, then I am still hiding behind a protective veneer, so it is being published online. If you find this Journal, you are welcome to read it and hopefully grow from it as well.

Anne And I Have Cameron And Carina For The Evening, 1/17/13

On Thursday (1/17/13), Anne and I had Cameron 7 and Carina 4 for the evening. Of course this meant spoiling them rotten. Dinner was delivered pizza baked just as they like it, washed down with lemonade by Cameron and chocolate milk by Carina.

Dessert was Dibs (tiny chocolate covered vanilla bite size pieces) for Carina and vanilla yogurt for Cameron. Our movie was "The Three Stooges" (2012) that we recorded for them (and any other grandchildren) as a special treat.

We also played in the playroom, with Cameron and Carina laughing up a storm, so much laughter that it was catching for Anne and me. And Anne read to Carina the Dr. Seuss book "Are You My Mother?" In addition, Cameron and I had a sword fight with plastic swords as he enthusiastically requested.

We were having so much fun, that when their mother Maria came to bring them home, they didn't want to leave. These are some of the joys of being a grandparent.
