In this Journal, I will attempt to strip away my protective veneer to view and communicate honestly what the truth is as I perceive it. My intent is to grow, for without an honest evaluation of the truth, how else can one fully absorb life's more difficult lessons and benefit by them. If I do this in secret, then I am still hiding behind a protective veneer, so it is being published online. If you find this Journal, you are welcome to read it and hopefully grow from it as well.

Carina Graduates From Pre-School, 6/6/13

On a cool and lovely Thursday morning, our 5 year old granddaughter Carina joined with 17 other little children to graduate from New Horizons Pre-School. It was a poignant time as family and friends gathered to photograph and to clap and cheer the children, and there was an abundance of smiles, hugs and kisses.

Each child was adorable and after the ceremony, tiny Carina came over to be with us, her parents and grandparents as we hugged and kissed her and posed with her in photographs.

It seems like just yesterday she was in the three year old group, the group where each child holds a rope during the holiday celebration so they won't wander off. And now Carina will be starting kindergarten in the fall, another step in the process of growing up.
